Administer topically on the skin, at the base of the neck, in front of the shoulders.
STRONGHOLD must be administered as a single topical application providing a minimum of 6 mg / kg of selamectin. When an animal should be treated for infections or mixed infestations with the product, only one application of the recommended dose of 6 mg / kg should be administered in that animal.

For the prevention of infestations by fleas, the product should be administered at monthly intervals during the flea season, starting one month before the activity of the fleas begins. Due to the reduction of the flea population, the monthly treatment of animals in

To be used as part of the strategic treatment of allergic dermatitis to fleas, the product should be administered at monthly intervals.
Prevention of heartworm disease (cats and dogs): The product can be administered throughout the year or, at least, one month after the first exposure of the animal to mosquitoes and, subsequently, once a month until the end of the season of mosquitoes. The last dose should be administered one month after the last exposure to mosquitoes. Treatment of roundworm infections and chewing lice in dogs and cats: a single dose of the product will be administered.
Treatment of ear mites (cats): A single dose of the product should be administered.
Treatment of the mites of the ears (dogs):
A single dose of product will be administered. Since some animals may require a second treatment, a veterinary examination is recommended 30 days after the first.
Treatment of hookworm infections (cats): A single dose of the product will be administered.
Treatment of sarcoptic mange (dogs):
A single dose of product should be administered for two consecutive months, for the complete elimination of mites.
Adverse reactions (frequency and seriousness):
The use of the product in cats has been associated, on rare occasions, with mild transient alopecia at the site of application. Very rarely transient local irritation has also been observed. Alopecia and irritation usually resolve spontaneously but, in certain circumstances, symptomatic therapy may be appropriate.
In rare cases, the application of the product may produce a temporary grouping of the hair in the area of application and / or the occasional appearance of a small amount of white powder. This is normal and will usually disappear within 24 hours after the administration of the treatment and does not affect the safety or efficacy of the product.
Contraindications and precautions
Do not use in animals under 6 weeks of age. Do not use in sick or weak and thin cats (for size and age).
Special precautions for use in animals: This product should only be applied to the skin. Do not administer orally or parenterally.
Do not apply if the animal has wet hair. However, bathe with shampoo or wet the animal
Starting 2 hours after the treatment is applied will not reduce the efficacy of the product.
Do not allow treated animals to bathe in water courses until, at least, two hours after administering the treatment.

Animals: Read the package leaflet before using the product. This product is very flammable. Keep away from sources of heat, sparks, flames and other sources of ignition.
Do not smoke, eat or drink while handling the product. Wash your hands after using the product and immediately remove any product that may be on the skin with soap and water. If accidental contact with the eyes occurs, wash them immediately with water and consult a doctor.
Keep treated animals away from fire or other sources of ignition for at least 30 minutes or until the hair is dry.
Avoid direct contact with treated animals until the area of application is dry. Keep children away from treated animals for at least 30 minutes after application of the product or until the hair is dry.
People with sensitive skin or allergies known to this type of product should handle the product with caution.
